This was the home of the radio streaming service for the Exe Valleys in Somerset and Devon. We are relaunching in December 2024 as a podcst service.
We started broadcasting from home at 0900 on Monday 15 June 2020. People will recall that it was in the middle of the first COVID lockdown and we had a lot of difficulty in doing what we originally envisaged. We had superb support including grants from Devon County Council, Bampton Town Council and the BBC who donated broadcast standard equipment eventually allowing us to transfer the operation into our premises in Dulverton. We broadcast music 24 hours a day and some topical segments including descriptions of local walks, Exmoor geology and some seasonal scripture readings and music for Christmas and Easter 2020/21. Despite the bad timing of our launch and lack of experience, we did have a few listeners but lack of practical support in terms of programme making meant that we stopped streaming in 2023. We are relaunching as a podcast service in the next few weeks, ie December 2024.
